guess again

Gloomy weather and a crummy night’s sleep have me down on this Monday afternoon. So…let’s play a game, shall we?

Just for fun, I’ll post pictures of four objects and you try to guess what they are.

Ready? Here we go.

Did you guess a pot, a laundry basket, a napkin basket, and a stool?

Well, you got one right. Actually, at my house, these are all stools. Baby b. scoots pots and baskets over to wherever he wants to be that he shouldn’t, and voila! Access to Mommy’s computer! The phone! Whatever his little nineteen-month old self wants to touch that he shouldn’t.

And I wonder why I'm exhausted at the end of the day.

I like this post. You definitely made me chuckle.

Now I'm wondering just how that napkin basket has managed to survive.

HA! As a mother of a two-year-old I can't believe I didn't get that the first time - very TRUE!

I guessed- a pot (ding!), a laundry basket (ding!), a basket (ding!), and an end table (bzzzt!)...

Then I sat here and tried to figure out why you had a slot in your end table (A mail slot? A slot to run a lamp cord through?)!

Oh my- I think I need to sleep more at night because obviously my brain is addled!

This post made me smile, thinking of the things they turn into "to get into things" stuff. It really is over fast. Try to enjoy it and enjoy going to bed exhausted and hope that soon you will wake up when you are ready! Hang in there! It really does change fast!

I guessed:
-the laundry basket you found baby b hiding in after he disappeared and you went through the house screaming frantically
-the square basket you found him hiding in later
-a bench with a mail slot that you found a way to surround with chicken wire to keep baby b from escaping
-the pot you planned to cook the twins in just for good measure.
Hmmmm, sense a theme here?
Can you tell what my children were like when they were little?
The other day my 6-foot, 200+ pound son laughed hysterically when I pointed to a laundry basket and told him that when he put it over his head as a toddler it covered most of his body.
Believe it or not, Llama, this too shall pass...:)

Children are definitely creative when it involves getting something they want. I remember when my son was about 20 months old, he figured out how to pull out the drawers in our kitchen to climb them and get onto the counter while I was cooking. What's even funnier is that we bought our house from my parents and I used to do the same thing as a young kid. :)
