tag

I’ve been tagged. Ted Gossard asked me to share eight random things about myself or my spouse.

1. My husband works for Apple Computer.

2. Yes. The iPhone really is all that.

3. I once joined a church because they had comfortable chairs and Starbucks coffee.

4. I am embarrassed to admit number 3, and I don’t embarrass easily.

5. My most embarrassing moment is too painful to recount, but it involves a breast pump. And my Pastor.

6. And since we’re on the subject, I’m embarrassed to admit that I hold a degree in English Literature and I cannot spell the word “embarrass” correctly without relying on spell check.

7. I don’t like doing crafts or sewing. When I was in MOPS I never actually did any of the crafts. I would just sit and drink my coffee in blissful peace while everyone else made the craft.

8. I just finished the latest Harry Potter book. It was my favorite of them all, and I’m dying for my husband to finish it so we can talk about it.

Just trying to make sense in my own mind (which is sometimes a Herculean task)--you're embarrassed to admit number 4? or number 3?

;)

Number 3!

Oops. And to think people used to pay me real money to edit their work! :-)

fixed it...add that to the list -- I cannot leave a typo on my blog once I'm made aware of it!

Hi! I've seen your name commenting on several blogs I read and I just had to come & see if you were "llama momma" because of the book "Llama Llama Red Pajama"-- it's my current favorite children's book even though my almost 14 month old doesn't care a lick for it!

Anyhoo, I see that you actually bought a llama (hence the name). Now, I'm intrigued and will have to poke around some more! :-)

What a hoot! #5 reminds me of a time when I walked into a room where a new mom was talking to her sister about recent body changes. She said something funny (but private) as she groped herself and turned beet red as I happened to be entering the room at that exact moment.

Craver -- Lest you think ill of my dear pastor, let me tell you, I blame the hospital lactation consultant 100%. Who says "come on in" when one is in such a compromised position????

Enough said.

willblogforshoes -- thanks for stopping by. Interesting blog name, btw!

My dad walked in while i was hooked into the big double cart thingy. I think he was extremely uncomfortable. I was totally annoyed at this point that I had had so many visitors (ungrateful brat!) that I hadn't been able to feed enough that they hooked me up to the pump, so I just kept going through the conversation as a hint to leave. He didn't. Justin told his parents to "come on in!" while was trying feeding #1 which exposes every inch of your upper torso.

haha. Good ones here, Llama Momma. I was good at spelling in school but some words like the one you mention, that I don't want to bother to type here because I may mess it myself- some are doozies(sp?).

I've not read one Harry Potter book but wish I had the time to read them all.

emily -- there really are no words. I'll defend to the death the right and naturalness and health benefits of breastfeeding. But when it comes to me and my baby, the whole thing was very private.

Ted -- Just think, you'll have something to look forward to when you retire! :-)

LOL.
Hilarious on number 5. I don't think I want to even know.

And, I have this aversion to tech things, but if I were buying, I'd def. get that iphone. My husband saw someone yesterday with it and said it was amazing. (and he's not MR. Technology either.)

An English Lit major! So we hold something in common. How nice it would be to sit down and talk books or poetry with you.

Andrea - I'm not a tech person either, but even I think it's cool!

LL -- Someday we'll have to grab that cup of tea. Maybe at the festival of faith and writing next year? I've already got it on my calendar. :-)

ooh, can I have tea with you and LL too?
