How do you deal with disappointment? I have to confess, my first reaction is usually to pull the covers over my head and just hide. Or eat chocolate. Or both.
As many of you know, my husband, Llama Papa, has been looking for a job since last fall. He’s had some great leads and some great interviews, but no offers. Yesterday, he found out he didn’t get a job he really wanted.
Which sucks.
Financially, we’re in good shape. God has been abundantly gracious to us, which we’re beyond grateful for. But still. It’s disappointing to not be able to find a job.
Beyond disappointing.
So if you think of us, say a prayer that the right job would come along for one of us. And if you’re looking for a great IT guy or a snarky writer, drop me a line.

Oh, llama mama! I'm sorry to hear about llama poppa - please know we're sending you a big hug from wichita, ks and lots of good thoughts. disappointment does truly suck. looking forward to good news soon. suzy
Thanks, Suzy! We sure do miss you in the 'hood now that the weather's nice. It will all work out, but as you well know, life doesn't always go according to plan...
I'm sorry to hear he didn't get the job.
hey listen, it's not him! It's easy to feel disappointed because in the "old" job search days if you were the most qualified you got it. Now, the job pool is so small that employers have a sea of applicants, as you know. So it's not that he's not worthy of a job, it's that the company found a match that fits "all" their needs. don't worry, God's on your side. Just keep learning the lessons and keep your head up. It's gonna happen.
Hey you also anted to know where I got my bench table (www.ScribbleInkCafe.com) and it was at a place called Rizzon Furniture, Bedroom Superstore. If you Google Rizzon Furniture you'll get lots of listings of sellers and selection. I tried to find that table to give you the link but didn't see it right off the bat. But they have lots of options that are similar.
Ok so head up! BTW I totally know disappointment! Keep on keepin' on sister!
Thanks, Amy! :-)
I can really sympathize with Llama Papa. I could probably wallpaper an entire wall in our home with "Thanks, but no thanks" letters. I'm glad to hear God has provided even through these tough time. HE always does, doesn't he?
